Return to Hayden Falls
Today, we returned to Hayden Falls. After a couple of days with heavy rain and a bit more last night, we figured that we would have opportunity to capture the falls at peak volume. Boy, did we ever…
The waterfall was throwing heavy mist in the air, so, I brought the Pentax K-1 Mark II camera and weather resistant lenses. My wife was using her Pentax KP.
Here are a few shots from early this morning.

There were some huge maple leaves lying on the plank walk. In fact, in some spots leaves were so heavy that one could easily slip and fall. Keep that in mind if you go there when it is wet.
We arrived while it was still dark and waited until sunrise to hit the stairway and plank walk. My wife slipped once on some of the leaves. She was lucky that she was holding the handrail or she might have been injured.
One more word of advice. If you go to Hayden Falls in the near future make sure that your camera and lens can handle getting wet. There was a lot of mist in the air from the rush of the falls.
