Thank You for visiting Mickey Maguire Music.

I grew up with music. My mother was a country song writer with a Nashville contract. She co-wrote songs with Hillman Hall,
younger brother of Tom T. Hall ("Harper Valley PTA", "I Love", "Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine" and many more hits).

My mother wrote the lyrics to songs she and Hillman co-wrote, but she wrote the melodies to three of those songs.
"Back In the Mountains" featured my mother's lyrics and melody, but it was too short. I added another verse to it.
The song is listed in the second project below.

I played with lots of artists and songwriters over the years. I played in bands, duos, and gigged as a singer/songwriter (just me and a guitar).
This project is a two CD set recorded in my own study with a few dear friends for the sake of friendship, good times, and lots of fond memories.
